Trends Hated by the Opposite Sex

There are multiple trends right now that are hated by the opposite sex. Complex created an article highlighting the trends that the opposite sex feels we should stop wearing. Don't worry, they also created an article about trends we feel the opposite sex should stop wearing, too.

The first article features trends that men think women should stop wearing. Although, I don't necessarily agree with everything in this article, I do agree with #16. If you're going to wear heels, go big or go home! Take notes girls, although we think sheepskin boots (like UGGs) are comfortable and practical for winter, guys think we need to stop wearing them.

The second article features trends that women think men should stop wearing. I also don't agree with everything in this article, but #7 and #12 need to stop. I don't think I need to explain myself when it comes to these "trends." Take notes guys, us girls think you need to stop wearing too much leather, camo, and vests.

Please don't take these articles too seriously as they are just opinions from a few men and women, but they are definitely worth considering.

Cartoon Characters at Fashion Week

As I was scrolling through Pinterest this morning, I found Lisa Simpson, from the TV show The Simpsons, wearing Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week. The caption said, "Exclusive: Lisa Simpson, Daria, and other 90s Cartoon Characters take on New York Fashion Week." Upon reading this, I just had to click through to the link. I mean, who wouldn't want to see '90s cartoon characters all grown up wearing designer clothes?

About Me

Majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations at California State University Fullerton was the first step in working towards my dream. By declaring this major, I have realized what I truly want to do with my future. With that said, I hope to work in Public Relations for a fashion magazine in a major city. The opportunities I have now will help make that dream come true.

I currently am a Public Relations intern for Annex Magazine. Annex Magazine is a fairly recent fashion magazine based in Los Angeles who are already doing big things! Right now my concentration is updating and researching their database of clients, which has been great exposure for me to designers, publicists, competitors, and much more. I know this internship will be a great opportunity and will give me valuable experience for my future career in Public Relations.

I also am currently a Style Guru intern for CollegeFashionista. CollegeFashionista is a website that showcases outfits and trends of college girls and guys from around the world. As a Style Guru, I photograph and write weekly articles for the FASHIONISTA/O SPOTLIGHT category where I interview stylish Fashionistas/os at CSUF and also tell readers how they can recreate the same look. Please check out my weekly articles here.

I am also involved in The Fashion Club at CSUF and PRSSA. The Fashion Club is a brand new club that focuses on fashion, DIY projects, conferences, guest speakers, workshops, and much more. I am so excited to be apart of this club and develop a personal style of my own. PRSSA exposes students to networking, guest speakers, and the different types of Public Relations. I am thrilled to be apart of this club as I know it can open many doors for me for the future. I have many more opportunities coming my way, but I don't want to get my hopes up *fingers crossed*.
